Experiments in Rainbow Cupcakes!

Rainbow from inside, out, these cupcakes are perfect for children's parties or just really cool for adults too.

$40 for 2doz if anyone is interested. Delivery charges apply.

Experimenting with Fondant

Fondant kind of surprised me I've eat'n it before on a cake as the icing and hated it. But a little bit as an accessory over lots of icing really isn't that bad. It's like eating good tasting playdough. The things you can do with it are endless it is the consistency of dough so it's easy to roll out and cut out. We even mixed colors together to get this awesome swirly effect. It's great for polka dots or just silhouettes of shapes.

Experiments with Sugar Paper and Candy Melts.

These cupcakes with the black & white swirl design are made with wilton sugar paper. The sugar paper has the texture of a really thin piece of gum. It looks cool in pictures but it really hard to work with and kind of creepy to eat. I wouldn't recommend it. Though I do like how it looks like ribbon when you twist it.

On the other hand the candy that can be melted and poured into molds is probably my new favorite thing! Remember when you made creepy crawlers as a kid. It's kind of the same idea only they are edible. The abstract shapes are just awesome!
